English-speaking Carpentry for children

I’m Tommy, and I've been an english teacher in Barcelona for the past 7 years. I believe that English classes need not be repetitive and boring and that every child should learn the art of creating with their own hands. I want to combine carpentry with English to create engaging and effective classes focused on real English in use. I’m passionate about teaching kids to spend less time on their phones and more time discovering the joy of building and crafting. Introducing our English-speaking Carpentry Workshop in Barcelona, where kids aged 7-12 can learn essential English and DIY skills in a fun, creative, and safe environment. What will your child learn in our workshops? From mastering the basics of using a drill to working with wood, painting, and designing their own creations, our sessions are all about hands-on learning. We’ll teach them how to plan, design, and build their own projects—like custom robots, mini chests, and stools, all in english. Long term projects are a great way for children to learn and practise to fundamental language skills and storytelling and physical crafting is a powerful tool in reinforcing this learning. It’s not just about learning new skills—it’s about building confidence and fostering creativity. Our journey begins with building and painting custom Blockbots—unique wooden robots that kids can personalize with their own designs. They can build accessories for these bots all using reclaimed materials such as skateboards guitars and even little wooden pets! Physical objects are fantastic tools for teaching vocabulary and written skills will be encouraged in structured creative writing activities. But that’s just the start! In future sessions, we’ll explore new crafts like making little chests, baskets, coat hangers, and even chairs. These workshops are an opportunity for your child to create something they can be proud of and to learn skills that will last a lifetime.
