This training program consists of four practical modules, designed for people with no prior experience who want to gain autonomy in home improvement projects. Each module is priced individually, and participants may enroll in a single module or combine several to achieve a more complete and progressive learning experience. Module 1: Learn to Measure and Create This module introduces the fundamental basics of DIY. Participants learn how to measure accurately, calculate surfaces, and select appropriate materials before starting any project. It covers the use of measuring tools, the calculation of linear, square, and cubic measurements, and an understanding of common materials such as wood, drywall, and brick. The module concludes with a practical planning exercise, such as preparing the installation of a shelf or a simple piece of furniture, laying the groundwork for future projects. Module 2: From Theory to Practice – Manual and Power Tools This module focuses on hands-on application. Participants are taught the correct and safe use of manual and power tools, from preparation and precise marking to cutting, sanding, and assembly. It includes safety guidelines, basic marking techniques, and multiple practical exercises such as cutting wood, fastening and unfastening screws, sanding surfaces, and assembling a small functional project. In addition, it includes a specific section on where to purchase tools and how to manage a basic budget, both for home use and for starting small independent jobs. Module 3: Home Electricity – Safe and Practical Use This module is aimed at understanding and safely carrying out minor electrical tasks at home. It explains the basic principles of household electricity, how to identify system components, and how to use specific tools. Participants learn how to replace outlets and switches, identify the electrical panel, understand how lighting fixtures work, and distinguish between tasks they can safely perform themselves and those that require a professional. Module 4: Home Thermal Insulation – Comfort Without Major Construction Designed for both tenants and homeowners, this module focuses on improving thermal comfort without invasive construction work. It analyzes the main sources of heat loss and proposes affordable, removable solutions such as sealing windows, insulating doors, and assembling temporary structures. The module includes simple calculations, practical demonstrations, and guidance on costs and sourcing materials.
